Do you know what you're wearing?

Whenever we go shopping for pretty much anything, we almost always check what we’re actually buying. The ingredients, if we're buying food, or the materials, if we're buying clothes or shoes. We check the brakes, check the engine, and take it for an extensive test drive, before we even consider buying that new car. But what about eyewear? Food is a necessity and common sense dictates, that the healthier you eat the healthier you will be. You wear clothes every day and want something comfortable that'll also make you feel good, perhaps made of cotton so it can breathe and you won’t be excessively hot or cold. You drive your car every day and you want to make sure it's safe and mechanically impeccable for your safety and for the safety of others. But then again, what about eyewear?

Do you not want your eyes to be healthy and not have sight problems or make them worse? Do you not want them to be comfortable to wear, and comfortable for your eyes as they won’t strain and get dry? Do you not use them every day? And would you not agree that it's safer to wonder around the world seeing where you're going and what's ahead of you?

We pay attention to so many things on a daily basis that we often forget about the small details. If they’re not catered and taken care of, they can cause problems on the long run. Your eyes are one of those small details that many of us take for granted. When we're buying a new pair of glasses, one of the first things we look at is the price and then the brand. Almost never do we look at what type of lenses are actually in their frames and if our eyes will actually benefit from them, or only our ego. Perhaps the part of the problem is lack of transparency as many don't offer the quality you'd expect, regardless of the price tag.

That's why we want to be crystal clear about what we put in our frames. Eyewear business is not a joke and we take your health very seriously. That is why each and every one of our lenses inserted in our sunglasses, prescription glasses and even the magnetic clip-on lenses come with 100% UV type 3 protection , the only thing stronger is type 4 protection, used for high mountains, desserts and glaciers and is actually so strong it's forbidden in traffic. All of our sunglasses are also treated with a polarization filter, further preventing glare and increasing eye comfort.

Now that you know that no matter which of our glasses you buy your eyes will always be well protected, let's take a look at how we make your life easier with our five layer protection sy stem. Put in place for our prescription glasses line-up, to keep the maintenance as low as possible and increase their lifespan. One of them is the UV filter I've mentioned before, protecting your eyes from harmful UVA and UVB light.

UV Filter

In his aid towards eye comfort is the antireflex coating, preventing glare and keeping your image clear and focused at all times. Now it's not the same as the polarization filter on our sunglasses, but it's as close as it gets. Glare is the main cause for squinting, beside poor sight of course, and therefore the main cause for eyestrain, sore eyes and headaches. Would you wear something every day that causes you migraines and makes you look like you've forgot what sleep is? We have the same opinion, that's why this coating is on our lenses.

Antireflex layer

We know the sun doesn't shine every day, that in winter months you can't wait for your glasses to fog up. Worry no more, we've heard of the problem before. We added a super-hydrophobic coating to prevent and minimize water retention. Drink you tea without worrying of partial blindness due to foggy glasses and enjoy every moment to its full potential.

Super-hydrophobic layer

His partner, the self-cleaning coating as we like to call it, won't actually clean the glasses for you... However, together with the hydrophobic layer, it will make sure to minimize the amount of fingerprints on your lenses and prevent dust and other dirt residue to have a pool party in front of your eyes.

Self-cleaning coating

To keep it all together, we've packed the entire collection of layers under an extra compact, hardened coating. Protecting form accidental scratches, increasing their lifespan and making sure you get the most out of your money. The longer they last, the longer you don't have to buy a new pair, unless your sight weakens of course.

Hardened coating

The sun is already very harmful and as time goes by its only getting worse. Your eyes are the only pair you'll get, so nurture them and protect them so that they can serve you for as long as possible. We want to bring awareness to the fact that if they block some of the light, it doesn't mean they actually protect your eyes. UV light is not on the spectrum of visible light, and in this case the saying »If you can't see it, it doesn't hurt«, just isn't true. That's why we offer a complete solution, from exterior looks, to interior protection, because your perspective should always be safe and crystal clear.
